PYRAMID of PLAYER DEVELOPMENT (ages 4-9)


Pyramid of Player Development (Ages 10+)

The curriculum is based on Coerver® Coaching's revolutionary new PYRAMID of PLAYER DEVELOPMENT featured in the NEW ERA 3 part video series and Drill Book.

The six building blocks of the "PYRAMID OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT" are:

  • BALL MASTERY: 1 player 1 ball. Repetition exercises with both feet to develop touch and control.
  • RECEIVING/PASSING: Exercises & games to improve 1st touch and encourage accurate and creative passing.
  • MOVES 1 V 1: Practice & games that teach game winning individual moves and create space against packed defenses.
  • SPEED: Exercise & games to improve agility, acceleration and power with and without the ball.
  • FINISHING: Practice & games that improve technique and encourage instinctive play around the goal.
  • GROUP ATTACK: Exercises & games that improve small group play with an emphasis on Fast Break Attacks.

Pyramid of Player Development (Ages 4-9)

The three building blocks of the "PYRAMID OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT" (4-9) are:

  • BALL MASTERY: 1 player 1 ball. Repetition exercises with both feet to develop touch and control. Many games are focused on stopping the ball
  • KICKING TECHNIQUE: Exercises teaching kids how to properly shoot and pass.
  • GAMES: Helping younger kids learn while having fun playing the game, competition.
